Skills Canada Saskatchewan invites you to become involved. There are many different levels of involvement.
Educators:
- You may want to work with students helping them prepare for a competition in one of the many trades. You may want to start a Skills Club and work with students as an extra-curricular activity.
- Each year at the competition the technical committees search for judges. If you want to judge contact Skills or contact the chairperson of the trade you would like to judge.
- Technical committees are always looking for involvement of educators. If you are interested in working on a technical committee planning a competition please contact us.
Students:
- By competing students are allowed to access the newest technologies.
- Communicate with industry experts who serve as mentors by showing students that the skills they possess are valuable.
Parents:
- By encouraging your child to consider the benefits of a skilled trade.
- Supporting your child in competing in the Skills Competitions.
Business & Labour:
- By sponsoring skills competitions or activities through in-kind and monetary contributions.
- By partnering with the school system to develop industry-education partnerships that support skills development for students.
- By assisting in setting technical standards for skills competitions by joining technical committees.
