Everyone realizes the importance of having young people who are qualified to enter today's changing workforce. L.P. Miller Comprehensive High School is doing something about it.
The Practical and Applied Arts program at our school promotes "Hire Education". L.P Miller believes in the importance of offering programs that will encourage our young people to actively participate in society, whether they are at work or at play. We have become associated with the annual SKILLS CANADA trade show and competition. The goal of this active, growing organization is to promote enthusiasm for trades and technology within the youth sector of Canada's population. Additionally we hope to form alliances with industry that will be mutually beneficial for the future of our province and country. Our students have been exposed to job possibilities beyond their wildest imaginations. |
