Skills Canada Saskatchewan invites you to become involved.  There are many different levels of involvement.

EDUCATORS:
  • You may want to work with students helping them prepare for a competition in one of the many trades.  You may want to start a Skills Club and work with students as an extra-curricular activity.
  • Each year at the competition the technical committees search for judges.  If you want to judge contact Skills or contact the chairperson of the trade you would like to judge.
  • Technical committees are always looking for involvement of educators.  If you are interested in working on a technical committee planning a competition please contact us.
STUDENTS:
  • By competing students are allowed to access the newest technologies.
  • Communicate with industry experts who serve as mentors by showing students that the skills they possess are valuable.
PARENTS:
  • By encouraging your child to consider the benefits of a skilled trade.
  • Supporting your child in competing in the Skills Competitions.
BUSINESS AND LABOUR:
  • By sponsoring skills competitions or activities through in-kind and monetary contributions.
  • By partnering with the school system to develop industry-education partnerships that support skills development for students.
  • By assisting in setting technical standards for skills competitions by joining technical committees.
