At Skills Canada Saskatchewan, we believe that early opportunities to discover skill areas as well as skilled trades and technology careers can inspire students to explore exciting, high-demand opportunities. Our In-School Education Program is designed to connect youth and students with hands-on learning experiences and real-world career pathways.

What is the In-School Education Program?

Our dedicated In-School Education Facilitator travels across Saskatchewan to deliver engaging presentations and interactive workshops for youth and students in grades 2 to 12. These sessions highlight the importance of the skilled trades and technology skill areas, career opportunities, showcase industry trends, and provide practical insights into education and training options.

What Do the Presentations Look Like?

Each presentation is tailored to your classroom or school’s needs and typically includes:

• • • Introduction to Skilled Trades & Technology
      Overview of the skilled trade and technology skill areas, career opportunities, industry demand, and how important they are to the economy in Saskatchewan.
    • Interactive Activities
      Hands-on and fun demonstrations or challenges that spark curiosity & creativity.
    • Career Pathways
      Information on apprenticeship programs, post-secondary options, and how youth & students can get involved in Skills Canada competitions.
    • Q&A Session
      A chance for students to ask questions and explore their interests.

These presentations can be 35 to 120 minutes and are offered in-person or virtually.
