Women in Trades & Technologies (W.I.T.T.) events consist of a presentation by Saskatchewan Apprenticeship and Trade Certification Commission and a series of interactive try-a-trade stations where female participants spend time exploring various skilled trades in a hands-on manner. I require 50-75 students in order to offer a full day camp.
These stations are facilitated by Saskatchewan-based female tradespeople/journeypersons that serve as role models for the participants and share their own personal career experience working in the skilled trades. This program is a day of career exploration in the skilled trades and a chance for young women to develop their hands-on skills in these areas, while gaining confidence in their own unique abilities.
