Scope Document

Each Provincial Skills competition area has a written criteria document called a Contest Description (Scope), which provides the competitor and the advisor or coach with the information required to compete in their chosen skill or technology area. The scope document is found online on the Skills Canada Saskatchewan website under the competitions section. The scope document outlines the safety guidelines that need to be followed, the purpose of the competition each person has entered, the skills and knowledge required, the tools required by the competitor, the tools supplied by the competition area, the clothing and attire required, the project description, the type of material that will be used in the project, the length of the competition including start time and any special need to know pieces of information. Each competitor must know about the scope document in order to be successful in the competition.
